Selena Gomez set up a camera and cued her tears in an orchestrated attempt to let her viewers know “her people are being attacked.” This video was posted after over a thousand arrests of illegal migrants swept across the U.S. after Donald Trump signed Executive Order 14159.
This order calls for the rapid removal of illegal migrants, allowing expedited deportation without a court hearing.
The first wave of deportations have already begun, targeting the United States’ most volatile offenders, with some deportees being tied to ISIS, MS-13 and manslaughter.
In a video posted and quickly deleted, Gomez claims the people being deported are her “people.”
With teary eyes, Gomez cried “I just want to say I’m so sorry, all my people are getting attacked. The children,”
People were quick to criticize Gomez, asking why there were no tears about the 300,000 missing children at the border, fentanyl being smuggled into the U.S. and killing millions, and the violent crimes committed against American citizens by illegal migrants.
In response to Gomez’s video, Trump’s newly appointed border czar, Tom Homan, said on FOX “I don’t think we’ve arrested any families”. “We’ve arrested public safety threats and National Security threats, bottom line”.
Trump has since signed the Laken Riley Act, the first bill under his new term. Laken Riley was a 21-year-old nursing student who was killed during a morning jog in Athens, Georgia by an illegal migrant.
